The road to a stunning color combination

When exploring colors for a new design, it is helpful to consider how and where the final product will be used. Think about the color of your coat with which you will wear your scarf. And if you want to make a throw for the couch in the living room, consider the colors in the living room.

But ultimately, color is a matter of your own taste and feeling. There is no right or wrong. In this color library, you may find interesting color combinations that you have never thought of, but that you will love at first sight. So let yourself be inspired during your design journey!

The Color Wheel

The color wheel is like a visual map of colors that helps us understand their relationships and interactions. It was first created in 1666 by the one and only Sir Isaac Newton.

The color wheel is divided into different sections, showing primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. These colors are arranged in a circular pattern. This demonstrates how they mix and contrast with each other.

The color wheel introduces us to concepts such as complementary colors, analogous colors, triadic colors, and monochromatic colors, all of which are essential when choosing the right colors for your design. This tool is a guide for creating harmonious color combinations for designs. It's like having a palette of colors that work well together.

The color wheel contains pure hues - that is to say, colors without the addition of white, gray, or black. You can adjust any hue from the color wheel by mixing it with white, black, or both. In this way, different shades, tints, and tones are created from the pure hues.
