What is Relooped by You?
We are a design studio that transforms personal drawings and photos into custom knitted scarves and blankets. From children’s drawings to illustrations or photos: we knit each design especially for you in organic cotton, using transparent production in the EU.
We make scarves, throws, and photo blankets from your own design, fully customized and knitted stitch by stitch. It is not a print on fabric, but genuine knitwear in which your idea is transformed into a soft, wearable object.
Whether you want a scarf made with your own drawing or are looking for a unique blanket as a special gift, every design starts with your creativity.
Our story
That’s how Relooped by You began
In 2017, Relooped by You co-founder and fashion designer Špela had a simple yet powerful idea: to show her young children how clothes are made and teach them to treat the things they own more consciously and gratefully through a creative project at home.
The twins, Ariane and Tilen, each drew their perfect scarf. With Mum’s help, they turned their drawings into real, wearable scarves on a knitting machine—ones that were every bit as good as those from a fashion store.
But these were different. They were 100% unique: their own works of art, signed with their first names.
The children proudly wore their handmade scarves until they eventually outgrew them. That moment grew into a bigger idea: making it possible for everyone to have their own drawing transformed into a custom knitted scarf or blanket.

The people behind Relooped by You
Relooped by You was founded by Špela and Andreas Tabak.
Špela has more than fifteen years of professional experience as a knitwear designer and spent years developing her own knitwear label, exploring knitting as a form of artistic expression.
Andreas is an interface designer who also works on pixel art. His fascination with digital structures, raster images, and patterns aligns seamlessly with translating drawings into knitting patterns.
Together, they developed a system that transforms personal drawings, stitch by stitch, into unique knitted products.
Relooped by You operates between the Netherlands and Slovenia, where they work and live with their twins.

Our impact
Creativity is not a luxury.
It is a fundamental human need.
When an original drawing is transformed into a tangible object, something changes. Recognition. Pride and connection. A simple idea becomes tangible. A gesture becomes visible, and a relationship takes shape.
Some designs are created by one person, others by a child or by several children together.
Sometimes an entire family or group of friends works together on one shared idea.
Often, such a design marks a special moment in life: a birth, a birthday, an anniversary, a farewell, or simply a way to say: I’m thinking of you.

Drawing together, choosing colours together, and shaping a design together turns an object into more than just a product. It becomes a special, tangible keepsake.
In a world that increasingly feels faster and more anonymous, we consciously choose the opposite. We slow down the process and invite participation. You don’t have to be a designer, and you don’t need any technical knowledge. All you need is an idea.
We believe that sustainability is not only about materials, but also about meaning. When something is personal, it is cherished and kept. It is not simply thrown away.

What starts as a drawing or photo, we translate stitch by stitch into a unique knitting pattern. Not a print on fabric, but genuine knitwear in which colour, texture and detail come together. Each design is knitted to order in organic cotton, within a transparent production chain in the EU.
SOFT KNITWEAR
Your scarf or throw blanket is knitted with natural cotton yarn. Since cotton is breathable, you can wear or use your unique piece all year round.
KNITTED WITH ORGANIC COTTON
Caring for our planet starts with choosing the right materials. That’s why we knit with 100% organic cotton, certified by GOTS. Our yarns are produced in Italy and are of the highest quality—soft, durable, and completely free from harmful substances.
WITH A LOVE OF DETAIL
All Relooped by You accessories are produced locally within the EU. Our scarves and throws are carefully knitted in a knitting workshop in Slovenia by skilled craftspeople who are passionate about their craft.
